Salesforce - Version 1.1

February 2, 2026

Overview

This release migrates the Rules & Regulations knowledge base from Zendesk to Salesforce. It introduces a fully searchable, mobile-optimized public site with persistent URLs and redirect support. The release also streamlines content management with a structured publishing workflow and enables branded PDF exports—either for individual articles or the complete rulebook.

Internal Content

New Features
Foundation & Migration
  • Knowledge Base Migration: All Rules & Regulations articles now live in Salesforce Knowledge. Hosting the rules and making updates all happen in one place now. This will hopefully cut out extra steps, makes answers faster to produce for our members, and simplifies ongoing maintenance and governance.
  • Structured Organization: Similar to the current Rules site, articles are organized into sections and subsections, making it quick and easy to navigate directly to the right article.
User Experience & Discovery
  • Keyword Search: Users can find the right rule in seconds using everyday terms (e.g., “exempt”) instead of clicking through pages. The search functionality uses the title, section, and article content to help find what users are looking for more quickly.
  • Export Single Rule Articles to PDF: Users can now download a single rule as a shareable PDF with the latest revision date clearly shown. This makes it easy to attach to share for quick reference—and reduces confusion and disputes about whether the guidance was current or not.
  • Download all Rules & Regs to PDF: Users can generate a complete PDF of the current Rules & Regulations, including the most recent revision date. This creates a dependable, distributable reference for offline access, onboarding, and broad sharing—helping everyone stay aligned and minimizing debate over what guidance was in effect.
Content Management & Discovery
  • Rule Creation & Editing: Authorized team members can update and publish rules in the same system where the guidance lives, so that changes don’t get stuck inside documents or email chains. This keeps information current and accurate for both staff and members, reduces “outdated rule” confusion, and supports faster, more consistent compliance decisions.
  • Defined Roles: Permissions are tied to roles so the right people can draft, the right people can edit, and the right people can approve articles. This prevents accidental or unauthorized edits, makes ownership clear, and keeps publishing controlled and predictable.
  • Save & Review Workflow: Updates can be saved as drafts and routed for review before they’re visible to members. That means staff can collaborate without rushing, avoid incomplete changes going live, and ensure every update meets quality and compliance expectations—reducing rework and follow-up corrections.
System Integration & Outputs
  • Automated Publishing to Website: Once an update is approved and published, the public Rules & Regulations site reflects the update almost immediately—no extra steps or manual web updates. This reduces delays and manual steps.
  • Multi-Channel Synchronization: A single rule update automatically stays aligned across the public site and staff-facing knowledge content with minimal lag. This reduces confusion and rework, and supports faster, more consistent compliance decisions using the same current source of truth.
  • Supporting Existing Links: Existing links (LDC, email templates, Stellar’s website, and other communications) continue to work by redirecting to the correct current rule page instead of breaking when pages move or retire. This prevents dead ends for members, protects confidence in compliance guidance, and cuts down on avoidable support tickets caused by outdated links.
  • Version History/Audit Per Article: Every rule keeps a clear change log—what changed, who changed it, and when it went live. This improves accountability, makes it easy to answer “when did this change?” questions, speeds up troubleshooting, and provides a reliable audit trail for compliance-related governance.
