Overview

The Salesforce 1.0 release marks the first phase of Stellar MLS’s CRM rollout, focused exclusively on the Technology & Innovation (T&I) department. This release establishes the foundation for internal case tracking, process management, and communication within the company. The primary goal of this version is to centralize T&I operations, including Business Intelligence, Data Services, Development, and Operations, into Salesforce, replacing fragmented processes and preparing for broader adoption across other departments in future releases.


Internal Content

New Features
Case Management
T&I users, including Business Intelligence (B.I.), Data Services, Development, and Operations, can now create, assign, and manage internal cases directly in Salesforce. 

Key functionality includes:
  • Email-to-Case Creation: Emails sent to designated departmental addresses automatically generate Salesforce cases, allowing teams to manage requests from a single platform. 
    • Business Intelligence: bi@stellarmls.com 
    • Development: devteam@stellarmls.com 
    • Data Services: datadelivery@stellarmls.com 
    • T&I General: technology@stellarmls.com 
  • Manual Case Creation: A streamlined, guided flow is available for manually creating cases, ensuring consistency and accuracy in data entry. 
  • Searchable Subject Tree: Users can quickly locate and categorize cases using a structured, searchable subject hierarchy, improving organization, and routing. 
  • Queue-Based Routing: Ensures cases are assigned and visible to the appropriate team for resolution. 
  • Standardized Categories and Statuses: Enables consistent reporting and tracking across all T&I teams. 
  • Internal Collaboration: Notes and comments allow for seamless internal communication within each case record.
Reporting and Dashboards
Salesforce 1.0 provides access to native reporting and dashboard tools, empowering users to create their own insights and visualizations. 
  • Users can build custom reports for case volume, categories, and assignment trends 
  • Dashboards can be created individually to support team-specific metrics 
  • No prebuilt dashboards are included in this version
